PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• Be responsible for supervising all drivers and Assistants in their daily activities
• Be responsible for managing all Customer Liaisons and Zonal Controllers
• Act as a focal point for customer problems, questions or concerns for the Branch

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• To Manage and co-ordinate logistics activities for the successful execution of the business plan from of order placement to client delivery and management of inventory levels, while optimizing logistics flows.
• Supervise and evaluate all daily operations of the branch.
• Make sure that all drivers are on route and monitor driving behaviour
• Track all vehicles daily
• Monitor fuel costs of all vehicles
• Transfer all fines of Brima vehicles back to into driver’s names
• Perform administrative duties such as setting schedules for drivers
• Ensure that all deliveries arrive on schedule
• Ensure that all collections are booked and collected on time
• Keep costs of operating fleet of delivery vehicles as low as possible
• Interacts with the Operations Directors from time to time regarding collections and deliveries made
• Make sure that all staff are well managed and monitor
• Do performance measurements for staff
• Do Weekly/Monthly reports for the Operations Director
• Responsible for training staff

REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Matric & 3 years related experience
• Relevant tertiary qualification

SPECIAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES                    

• A valid driver’s license and PDP (Public Driver Permit)
• Team player
• Work overtime when required
• Good Listening Skills
• Good computer and communication skills
• Must be a quick thinker when problems arise
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Leadership traits, organization, time-management skills.
• Good Geographical Knowledge
